My grandparents live on a beautiful 160 acre farm in Michigan. It hasn't been a fully-functioning farm with livestock for a long time, but my Grandma still has fruit trees, a garden, and does all of her annual harvesting and canning. And my Grandpa still rides around on his tractors and has trout in the pond. The farm is a little piece of heaven for me so I wanted to share the beauty captured on my last trip with you all. I shot all photos with a Canon G10.
Grandpa's old farm equipment.
My favorite barn on the property.
A window in the old chicken coop.
View from the porch, looking down towards the pond.
Grandpa, talking about how the "damn cranes" are eating all of his trout.
The pond! This is my childhood in a nutshell.
I don't know if you can tell, but being at the farm makes me really happy!
I am standing under a massive willow tree here.
Grandma's cookin'! Everything on this plate was grown in her garden (minus the baked beans!).
Grandma and mom is the garden.
Did you know that potato plants have pretty flowers?
The garden, and Uncle Alfred's farm in the background.
