I first met Cedric while I was running an alternative art space in East Lansing, MI after college. He was a studio art major at Michigan State University, and entered some fantastic works into multiple exhibitions in the few years that I was the director and curator there. My favorite of which was a food-themed show called "Feast Your Eyes" where Cedric transformed one of the gallery's rooms into an installation of "food particles" which were fashioned out of clay and looked like fat little beings with spiky legs.
