Almost exactly a year ago, Matt and I visited the manatees at Blue Springs State Park and I did a post about it here. This year, we went back and discovered not nearly as many chilly sea cows huddled in the springs (thank goodness for no record low temps this year)! Blue Springs not only offers a safe zone for manatees in the off-season, but also has acres of gorgeous wildlife preserve and observation paths.
Even more than crocodiles, I think manatees really are the closest thing to dinosaurs left. They are so peaceful and amazing!
