Sometimes a two-day getaway is all you need to recharge! My thoughtful husband recently swept me away to a picturesque eco-friendly cabin in California's majestic Redwoods.
Much of my time was spent in pajamas and slippers, happily curled up in a cozy chair by the wood-burning fireplace, with coffee (or wine!) in one hand and a good publication in the other. It was heaven.
California is in the midst of another drought year, so to our surprise, the adventure happened to fall during a few days of precious rain. This caused our surroundings to appear just a little more misty and magical than I could have ever imagined.
On our final evening, Mother Nature treated us to an epic sunset, which was preceded by a truly delicious locally-cooked dinner. With the Pacific Ocean as our backdrop...pretty hard to beat.
I think a slow clap for my lumberjack is in order...I'm one lucky lady!
Yeah. So, I was going to end the post here. But there's so much beauty to share — which made it a bit difficult to choose which photos to post. Just a few more... ;)
