High Five Fridays 9.24.10

I am posting this one day early as I will be without interwebs from tonight through the weekend. Matt and I are heading to Savannah, GA later today, then off to visit the Barbershop boys in Drexel, NC, do some serious apple picking and cider drinking along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and then relax and sip a cappuccino on the porch of The Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. Mini-vacay time! WOOT. 1.

Taylor Hanson's photo diaries of their Shout It Out tour on PaperMag. Yes, I still love Hanson, and yes Taylor is still a dreamboat 13 years later (even if he wears mom jeans).

See ya on Monday, y'all (I'm already on mountain time...)!

Two Hours in Savannah, GA

Monumental things have been happening in the past month in many facets of my life.  Which is why I have been slacking on updating my blog - BUT I have so many things to update about in the next few days! I'm a very lucky girl. I got a shiny new camera for my birthday - a Canon G10 - which I've had my eye on for a long time. I am absolutely infatuated with it (14.7 mega pixels! Holy poop, I'm a nerd!). I'm still learning how to master it, but I've had a good teacher and am on my way to being a for-real-life photographer!

Last week, my friend Doireann and I stopped in Savannah, GA on a roadtrip up to Wilmington, NC. We only had a mere two hours to wander around this gorgeous city, so I made the most of the little time we had by documenting some of the amazing architecture, door and window frames, staircases, etc, that we walked past. Attention to detail is key in a city like Savannah.
